Yoga is an ancient practice that has its roots in Hindu religion. It is believed that “Yoga” describes the union between the mind and body, and it is used as a therapeutic intervention in a variety of dis-eases. The ancient mind and body healing methods of yoga recently sparked fervor in the scientific community as an alternative and complementary means of therapy.
Based on the available literature, it could be said that yoga might be considered as an effective adjuvant for the patients with various neurological disorders including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, headache, myelopathy, neuropathies.
